Why fit in when you can stand out?!
There are plenty of photographers, but I think how I do things sets me apart. For example, when first working with a pet client, I always want to be able to take the time for everyone to settle in; there is no rush to get started or finish. We will see how the dogs react in the studio and take it from there. And I ALWAYS when working with my lovely clients, asking what they like, any colours they prefer and anything special I can photograph for them. Sadly our pets are not here forever, so being able to create beautiful memories is very special.

Have you ever been curious to experience a pet photoshoot but unsure what to expect?
All sessions come with an email or on-phone consultation so I can get to know your dog’s needs and personality. I chat about your goals and ideas for a portrait session. If you prefer something natural or arty in style or a pose or tricks your dog knows how to do and would like to try, I am open to ideas! Once you have decided you want to go ahead, I’ll get a date booked for you. On the day of your session, we’ll meet at the agreed time and start the fun! The photoshoot will last about 1 – 2 hours, depending on how many dogs are photographed. Plenty of time to work at your dog’s pace – all dogs are different – some need time to calm down – other needs to gain confidence. For a studio session, the use of props is available, but I would never force a dog to do anything they are not happy with. I’ll work with you to capture your dog’s personality.
Phoebe and Baxter’s Photoshoot
Phoebe and Baxter’s mum was gifted a pet gift voucher for her birthday to come to the studio for a dog photography session.
We started with them sniffing around the studio, getting used to all the new smells and getting lots of fuss. While the dogs were getting settled, Paula and I chatted about what she would like. We decided to do a white and a dark background and use some props. Even if Phoebe and Baxter whizzed on and off, they were happy on, in and on top of any prop, so we got an excellent variety of images. We had to work hard getting them both in a few photos together! In the end, we both worked up a sweat, but it went so well that we did the third set-up with a grey backdrop.
